Invest in Denmark is looking for an Investment Manager to work at the Danish Embassy in Paris. The successful applicant will join a team of experienced colleagues with backgrounds in investment promotion in seven different locations in Europe and collaborate with the Embassy’s commercial team.
This challenging and fulfilling job in an international environment offers plenty of travelling in France, Europe and occasional visits to Denmark.
Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Europe, your role as Investment Manager is to identify, contact and build a network in large multinational companies as well as in high-tech companies, primarily in areas of Cleantech, ICT and Life Sciences. Your mission is to convince them to select Denmark as their location for future activities. To assist you in reaching your specific goals in terms of investment projects brought to Denmark and jobs created, you will interact with the team in Europe and receive comprehensive support from the organization in Denmark. You will be collaborating with the Embassy colleagues in the commercial department, including on arranging joint branding and networking events.
This position requires an MSc in business or economics, or the equivalent. Applicants are expected to have a substantial working experience in relevant industries, including documented international sales or business development experience, and be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of company strategies, innovation trends and technologies. A broad professional network at an appropriate level would be a strong advantage. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a prerequisite. A good command of French and some Danish skills will be an advantage. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills, a result-oriented approach, and an ability to negotiate persuasively at management level.
Salary according to qualifications, experience and subject to conditions of employment for locally employed personnel at the Danish Embassy in Paris. Start date as soon as possible.
